Probably one of the best places I've ever had breakfast at!! I normally don't like French toast but there's was to die for, not too sweet. Our waitress was phenomenal!! The food was perfectly balanced. Will be coming back whenever I'm in town.

Stopped for a quick bite while walking near the beach. Ordered the Gilroy Garlic Fries and the Mixed Greens & Gorgonzola salad. Both were really good and our waiter was nice enough to split the salad to share between two people.

Amazing clam chowder bowl, delicious Brie and roasted garlic appetizer, fantastic service! Ideal has quickly become my favorite place on the boardwalk! Cannot beat the perfect outdoor seating with a view of the water and warmers to keep you toasty! We will definitely be back.

Is there such thing as a better location than this? Situated in between the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and the Santa Cruz Pier, this place has a great view and vibe right next to the ocean and the main beach. The food is great, the atmosphere is amazing, and the service is excellent.

We all had a terrific breakfast at Ideal! You provided a wonderful environment, good service and delicious food. I was so relieved that the final event of the wedding weekend went off without a hitch. Thank you!
